This site features: The Green Room, Hall of Fame, Answer Zone, Student Lounge, a Reference Room and a parent/teacher area. This site is paired with the From The Top radio program, and offers young musicians an opportunity to hear from others like themselves
www.sfskids.org -- This very animated and fun web site introduces kids to the orchestra but also has sections on theory basics and composers. 
www.nyphilkids.org -- Great graphics and fun games—like the clarinet scavenger hunt—make this New York Philharmonic web site great, especially for instrumental students.
www.funbrain.com -- Funbrain offers games on composers, instruments, reading and vocabulary. You will need to explore a little to find them all, click on all games and then on piano player for a keyboard/staff reading game to reinforce note reading. 
www.kidsgames.org -- This site is just what it says—for first- through twelfth-graders. You also can use this site to search for more related sites. You may need to search on the site for music related games. The games are geared toward the young musical explorer.

www.pbs.org/jazz/kids -- Elementary students can enjoy playing with an interactive Improvisation Station.
www.creatingmusic.com -- Elementary-age students can enjoy exploring, creating and manipulating music. This is a trial version of a CD Rom program.
